All artworks sold through artgiannis.com are handmade pieces of art, often unique one-of-a-kind works and/or custom-made to order according to your preferences (dimensions, colours, special compositions, etc.).
For this reason:
Under the applicable legislation for distance sales, the right of withdrawal does not apply when the products:
are made specifically for the consumer, or
are clearly personalised or artistic works, or
due to their nature cannot be returned without substantially affecting their value or safety.
Therefore, we do not accept returns because you changed your mind or because the artwork no longer suits your aesthetic preference.
Due to the handmade and artistic nature of the artworks:
Small variations in colour, texture, patina or detail compared to the photographs are considered normal and expected.
Such variations are not defects, but rather a natural characteristic of the uniqueness of each piece.
Damage that occurred after delivery (e.g. dropping, improper installation, unsuitable maintenance) is not covered as a defect.
An exception to the above policy applies only in the following cases:
Defective artwork upon delivery
The artwork presents serious damage, cracking or a condition that does not correspond to its description and is not due to shipping or misuse.
Incorrect product or quantity
A different piece was sent than the one you ordered, or the quantity is different from the order.
If you believe that the artwork is defective or incorrectly shipped, please:
Contact us immediately and within 7 days from the date of delivery.
Send an email to the address listed on the “Contact” page with:
your full name
your order number
a brief description of the issue
photographs of the artwork and the packaging (especially where damage is visible)
We will review your request and reply as soon as possible.
If it is confirmed that:
the artwork is defective, or
an incorrect item was shipped,
the Seller may, depending on the case:
replace the artwork (if feasible), or
repair/restore the artwork where practically possible, or
provide a full or partial refund of the amount paid.
In any case, the Seller’s liability is limited to the total value of the artwork in question and does not cover any additional compensation or consequential damages.
All artworks are packaged with great care.
If you notice visible damage to the package upon delivery:
take immediate photographs of the parcel (outside and inside),
note the issue with the courier or shipping company if possible, and
contact us with the photographs so that we can assess the situation and determine whether restoration or compensation is possible.
